As part of this year’s Arts Week at Birkbeck, we were lucky enough to see the wonderful Lydia Syson, Jessamy Harvey and Michael Rosen speak on writing about the Spanish Civil War for children.
Hearing Lydia and Michael read from A World Between Us (it’s out in October, grab a copy as it’s SO GOOD!) was fantastic – this was our first author event of sorts and what a great way to start! Lydia also spoke about how her family history (which is totally fascinating) inspired her research towards the books, and even gave a sneak hint towards what is coming up in the future…
